Recent ReStore Stock – A Girl Can Dream

Hello everyone!  I am at the Midland Antiques Festival today at the fairgrounds, hopefully snapping some great pictures and finding some great stuff for the house.  But I thought I would show you some things that recently popped up at our ReStore.  I was tempted to buy ALL of these, but couldn’t justify them to Hubs.  Ah well…there is always more!

These great dining room chairs were part of a whole set, table, china hutch and sideboard.  Someone bought the table, hutch and sideboard, but weren’t interested in the chairs.  Poor little things!  I would have totally jumped at them, but they are too “honey” for my eat-in area, which is very light natural maple.

These chairs were $15 each, by the way.restore-001

And yes, that is a mauve chenille chair!  Such a strange combination of pinky-purple.  It totally looked as though someone had gutted a 50’s house recently, and all of it was in the ReStore!

This chair was the craziest!  I love it for some reason, though.  It had a great back to it, the plaid was actually vertically tufted like an accordian, even though it doesn’t show in the picture.  Great condition, too!

And the light fixtures!  We have bought a ton of them from here, but they just keep getting better.  I thought these were spotlights for the ceiling, but they were little round lamps that sat on little wire stands.

These were the most amazing things! Hanging lights that almost looked like ice sculptures. Once again, my room isn’t quite right for these, otherwise I would have been all over them! I also thought about buying to resell, but they were glass and HEAVY.  Can’t even imagine the shipping on these!

Just before I got to the end of your post, I was thinking, “Why doesn’t she buy this stuff to sell?” The smaller lamps would probably be worth it, because people are willing to pay shipping when they want something badly enough! And you’ve sure got the storage space! Those big ones, though, you’re probably right – they look like they’d cost a fortune to ship. I just sold a small item from my Etsy shop to someone in Hong Kong – she was willing to pay $17 for the shipping!

You can always keep posting photos here for us, and when we see something we can’t live without, we’ll just shout, “Go back and get it for me, Ruth!” 🙂

Hi Tiki! – You know, I am terrible at “finding time” to list things. I now have a whole closet of stuff I have been meaning to sell and have never got around to it!
