Vintage Finds – A Pyrex Cream Pitcher and a Sweet 50’s Lamp

vintage-finds-026Check out this gorgeous little lamp that I scored at a recent estate sale for $1!  I just adore the shade, and I love the geometric bottom with the brass base.  I am pretty sure this is the lone survivor of a pair of boudoir lamps, since this sweet little guy is only about a foot tall.

Hubs isn’t as in love with this lamp as I am, though he does admit that it is cute.  This one might have to be shuffled along to the online store.  If only I would take some time to list stuff!

I got some other things at this estate sale, too.  There were a lot of vintage linens.  Not anything too amazing, but some cute stuff nonetheless.  I also got a couple of aprons that were 25 cents apiece.  I am going to give them to my mother for her upcoming apron show that she is participating in in Whitewater, Wisconsin.  I also got a bread pan with a sliding proofing lid and a nine cup muffin/cupcake pan for 5 cents each.  I was really pumped about the cupcake pan. Don’t see that size very often!

vintage-finds-031The next score of the day was this amazing little pyrex cream picture with a shiny, metal look top.  I am pretty sure the top is plastic that is just painted, since it definitely doesn’t feel like metal. Do any of you Pyrex lovers out there know what year or what pattern this is?  I have to admit that I am not as passionate about Pyrex as I am about some other pieces, and as a result I am sadly ignorant.

And finally, here is a picture of the pitcher and lamp together.  You kind of get a feel for how little the lamp is in this picture.

Awww…isn’t that sweet? They are friends….vintage-finds-029

They’re friends! 🙂 That just makes me smile.

I think the Pyrex is called Spring Flowers. If you want to know for sure – post a photo on the Pyrex Love flickr group and ask, or just go look at PyrexLove.com, where they’ve got a guide!

The lamp is adorable, and I would be more than happy to take it off your hands! The prices in your area are WAAAAAYYY better than here in SoCal.

Michigan is one of the absolute BEST places to shop for antiques! Can’t wait to go back sometime. And…. now Hubby’s cousin is having auctions in the small Michigan town where they live, so I definitely want to go to that!
