June 25, 2009Craft Club Is A Bust This Week
Aww…no one was really productive this week at craft club. A few girls showed up to talk and eat, but no one really came to do crafts. That was kind of a bummer for me because I had a super-crazy day with one of the cats, and I was looking forward to just relaxing for a few hours and working on my embriodery.
What happened to the dumb cat? Well, she was itching her ear and a piece of one of her back claws split off and flew into her ear canal. What are the odds? Anyway, it must have hurt like the dickens because she starting yowling and rubbing her head on the floor and pitching a fit. And I was in the middle of cleaning, with the vaccum plugged in, so I thought she had chewed on the cord and electrocuted herself. Long story short (too late!) we went into the vet’s and were relieved when it was just a piece of claw. But the little bugger screwed up my afternoon! 🙂
So, after everyone left craft club, I got down to some serious crafting! The little embriodery above is what I accomplished in about an hour before bed last night. The stitch I am using is a split stitch learned from Sublime Stiching’s website, and the transfer is the test for a super cute Aunt Martha transfer pack I got from my mom for my birthday. Not sure what I am going to use it for when I am done, but I loved these little guys and so I just decided to go for it. They are going to be all in red since this is my first project. Maybe the next one will have more than one color.
Anyway, I am off now to shop for the party this weekend and get ready for Hub’s race tonight. Hope you all are having a great day!
