June 4, 2009Johnson’s Wax Decorating Ideas for Prom Queens
Welcome, Retro-baby, to the final post from the fantastic book, How To Have A Prettier Room from Johnson’s Wax. Despite the large amount of product pushing and pictures of not-so-attractive girls, we have finally made it to the moment you all have been waiting for:
The Prom Queen’s Room. Which is the room everyone REALLY wants.
Oh sure, other girls may lie to themselves and say they are happy with the personality type they choose. They may even believe it for awhile. But then, late one sleepless night before finals, or before a big date, or before *gulp* PROM, they will be thinking about their life choices, and probably thinking, “Damnit. I should have picked the Prom room. Then maybe I wouldn’t be stuck dating Fred from next door.” Because Fred is a nice guy, but he wheezes when he breathes and has hornrimmed glasses. And his palms are always sweaty. He doesn’t really make a girl’s heart skip a beat. Poor Fred.
Aaaaanyway…enough of that. On to the last, and most important, personality in this book.
Heeeeeere she is…Miss Ammeeeeeerica……
I love the mini-Marylin Monroe look. Look, she even has a turned up nose! Awww…so cute. Like a puppy.
So, here she is. The 1950’s Prom Queen Ideal. Scary, no? But I bet based on this picture alone, the Prom Personality Room got used three times more than all the other room ideas combined. I just bet .
Are you an airhead, tottering around in high heels? Do you have a breathless giggle that you unleash on unsuspecting boys like a bomb? You might just be a prom personality.
I love the dressing table skirt. The glittering jewel box is a bit much, but the birdcage is sweet! Did grocery store display racks really used to look like that?? If they did, I want one.
Wow, super cute ideas in this, actually. I love the floor pillows, the shelves made from an old tray, and the framed map. I actually had a framed map in my room in high school. Uh-oh….not sure what that means!!
Hope you enjoyed this cute pamphlets from Johnson’s Wax. Stayed tuned for more great pamphlets and ads!
