July 25, 2009Vintage Crafty Saturdays – Pinch-Pleat Curtains
Welcome to Vintage Crafty Saturdays here on the blog! Tom and I are running around like crazy right now, packing like idiots for our trip to Aruba in a few days, but hopefuly you guys have enough time to relax and be a little crafty today. Or at least time to read about the craft here on the blog. 🙂
This crafting post is dedicated to everyone’s favorite mid-century curtains: pinch pleats. While we have a ton of white pinch-pleats in our three season porch, we still need to convert a bunch of curtains in the living room to pinch pleats. We have come up with a short-term solution of just clipping them up there, but the cats decided it is really fun to roll themselves up like little sausages in the curtains and pull them down.
So, this is to help everyone like me who needs to get some curtains up on those pinch pleat rods! It may not be a comprehensive tutorial, but I thought the measurement guidelines were good ones, because I for one had no clue how big the pleats should be.
