Yesterday’s Trip to Ossineke, MI

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday!  We had a fantastic road trip yesterday, and I am putting a slideshow of the pictures into this post.  The only thing that wasn’t to my liking was that there weren’t enough hours in the day.  Oh, and I would have loved to get better pictures.  I saw so many great houses, vintage signs and roadside stands, but there is only so much you can photograph when you are speeding down a highway at 60 mph! So, I did my best. The one thing I didn’t get a picture of that I wanted to so much was a little 40’s house that had little white sailboats on its shutters. Absolutely adorable!

Enjoy the photos!

Those pink lamps are something! I have a wrought iron lamp with a shade like that. I only have one, though. Nice pictures.

I had to look up Ossineke on the map, LOL! Thought I knew every burb in the state!

Did you buy those awesome lamps, Ruth? I’m swooning over them!

Love the brick ranch you snapped! Of course, I’m partial to brick ranches. LOVE THEM!

Alex, those lamps are hard to find, although if you do find the lamp bases, there are a couple of sites online that make the fiberglass shades.

Love, love, love that cute little pale pink house (or what looks like pink from the pics) in the 3rd pic. But, I do love the brick ranch too, Sable. What a cool day trip Ruth! Yes, did you buy the lamps??? Questioning minds want to know! 🙂

      Hi everyone!

Yeah, those lamps were something, weren’t they? I wanted them, but Hubs didn’t like them so we passed on them. I think he would have gone for it if they didn’t have the flower, but what are you gonna do? And I let this one slide because we just got a great floor lamp for the living room. Check out today’s post to see!

Yes Sara, that house was pale pink. I was dying over how cute it was. Oh, and glad you are commenting again, I missed you!

Hi Ruth, Sorry, I was super busy this past week for the 4th and everything. Hubby and I went to northern Az, to his parents cabin, and it was a nice break from these HELLISH temps we have been having, but they kept us pretty busy, so I did not have a lot of time to check in with ya – but now I am back! 🙂
