Alto Vista Chapel In Aruba

100_0644Here is the Alto Vista Chapel that we visited recently in Aruba.  This church was built in 1790, and was the island’s first Roman Catholic Church.

What does that have to do with mid-century, you ask?  Well, besides being really tranquil and beautiful, the Alto Vista Chapel was refurbished in 1953.  So while the outside looks very classic, the inside looks…IMG_7648

    Love it! But I think the outside looks very MCM, too!

    A very hot day we were on Princess cruise , 2009 / went for a tour of Aruba , the tiny Catholic Church , very nice, built in 1790 , I liked the pews out doors , did not go in to pray , there were a few parishoners inside praying ,
