Won’t You Be My Neighbor – 1965 Time Capsule In Mount Pleasant

This is a really sweet house for sale in Mount Pleasant. It is $134,900 for about 1800 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It looks like it needs some TLC, but has the potential to be a really great showplace.  The pictures are great, but check out the virtual tour here, it has a lot more rooms and veiws of rooms.

Love the door!

Slate tile on the hearth!

Built-ins!

Take down those curtains.  Please.

Awww…carpet in the kitchen. I hate that.

There is a studio above the garage. Nice.

Don’t forget to leave a comment on last Friday’s post and get entered to win a fun and funny vintage children’s textbook. Yeah!

Wow..the taxes are really low, too (compared to NY).
It def has potential at that price. Love the garage & studio the best!

Nice house and yes, it has potential! That add-on sunroom/greenhouse looks awful and would have to go!

Ruth, when you show these time capsules, I do believe they are my favorite posts!

That place is seriously awesome Ruth! I love how you find all these homes on such huge lots, around here everything is *squeezed* in to the Nth degree. The garage is way cool too!

Great house, Ruth! The lot is wonderful. (I really miss tall deciduous trees; not a lot of them on our barrier island.)

I’m sure my husband would flip over that ham radio antenna tower, too! Love the A-frame with studio.

Yep, the first thing I would do in this one would be to remove those curtains over that sweet window……then rip up the kitchen carpeting.

WOW! What an amazing find, and at an amazing price! I love everything, especially that A-frame garage/studio. I wish we could see the bathrooms, too! (Is this Mt. Pleasant SC?)
