What the??  What do you mean you have never heard of Spoonflower?

Spoonflower is a great site where, if you have a scanner and even a little bit of design experience, you can re-create vintage fabric.  Provided is wasn’t copyrighted, of course.  Or you could use your mad Photoshopping skills and create some fabric patterns of your own. Then you can actually order it from them and have as much or as little fabric as you want PRINTED up especially for you.  I think this is an amazing thing, especially if you have a vintage fabric with an easy pattern that you would really love to have more of.

In addition to this, every week they have a themed contest that you can enter if you have fabric you’ve created that matches the theme.  If you win, you get FREE yardage.  Sweet.  I thought I would let everyone know about the contest for this week, because the theme is Spoonflower Fifties!  Check it out here and go vote for some creative 1950’s-inspired fabric designs, and maybe find that perfect fabric you have been looking for for your curtains.  Or those throw pillows.

And next week, they have a Tiki themed contest!  I am so there!

I can’t decide which one is my favorite. And, I might end up hating you now that I know about this service/site.

Oh, the possibilities that await me there!
