A Far Out, Cool, MCM Manufactured Home!

Mike and I were driving down Main Street in Mesa when I spotted the most MCM manufactured house ever! Main Street, in Mesa,  has tons of dealers selling trailers, RVs, and manufactured homes. Well, this house stood out to me right away. I had to get some pics and some information to share with y’all. These are built by Clayton Homes and HERE is a link to their website where you can build and price your own MCM house. These are not really cheap, with the 1 bedroom version starting at around $75,000, but they do come with some neat features. For an additional cost you can get solar panels added too. It even has a butterfly roof!!!! Check it out………………..

Here is a view from the back.

It even has a guest house addition which they call a “pod” – seen here in orange. Love the roof deck!

Another view from the back, with the pod.

Here is a view of the roof line.

And now we will check out the interior of the pod! This pod was one of the smaller ones at 268 sq. feet, but you can get bigger pods as well.

Now we will check out the interior of the main house. You can get this in either a one or two bedroom version. This one is the 2 bedroom version with 1023 sq. feet.

The living/dining area.

The kitchen. The only thing that would make this kitchen better would be to see some metal cabinets in here! 🙂

The hallway and the first bedroom. Note how you can see the ‘V’ in the butterfly roof on the ceiling.

The bathroom. Couldn’t you just picture a Cinderella tub in here?

Between the bathroom and the master bedroom there was a huge walk-in closet(with adjoining doors) with a stacking washer and dryer.

And finally the master bedroom.

I don’t think my pictures convey the butterfly roof on the inside that well, but you could really tell the pitch on the inside. The master bedroom and the living room area both sloped up to 12 feet tall at the highest point.

The sales lady told us that someone in San Diego bought one of these as their home because their lot was on a hillside and this worked perfectly for the lot. They also bought the pod and they were going to put a hot tub on the top! Do ya think they will invite us all over?
