June 4, 2010MCM Home Improvement: Front Doors
By Sablemable aka Jan
Okay, so we’ve settled on wrought iron railings and limestone veneer; now I need help in deciding what style of front door would look great.
I went to Crestview Doors (www.crestviewdoors.com) and played around with their Amazing! Door-O-Vision using the uploaded photo of my house. They offer a lot of different designs according to era and let you “apply” paint colors or stains. I chose stains, mainly because I’m still not certain which color I’m going to paint the trim.
Here are some designs that I liked.
THE PASADENA (HONEY STAIN)
THE FONTENOT (ESPRESSO FINISH)
THE LEXINGTON (MOCHA FINISH)
THE WESTHAVEN (MOCHA FINISH)
THE WOODROW (MOCHA FINISH)
Crestview Doors does not manufacture doors, but offer door lite kits with instructions on how to install the lites on solid core exterior doors with a few simple tools.
Readers, tell me what door you like best on the house. My favorite? I like the Woodrow, but then I also like the Pasadena.
