June 3, 2010Retro Stuff For Sale At Goodwill!
By Sara In AZ
Mike and I were checkin’ out the local Goodwill last Saturday, and I happened to have my camera with me, so I snapped some pics of what retro stuff was up for sale. I did not buy any of these items, just wanted to share them with y’all.
First up, an old Flour Sifter. I kinda liked it because of the slight atomic look to it. It had a dent, as you can see. The price was $2.99.
Next up, a cute Planter made in the shape of baby booties. This was by the ‘Giftware Co. by Nancy Pew, Japan’. It was also $2.99.
Oh boy, you just never know the kooky stuff you will find at Goodwill!
Next, I saw one of those Chalkware type of heads that Marwal or Lego made back in the 50s/60s and a cute Lefton Music Box. I think the head was definitely homemade, though it looked like they did a good job. The head and Music Box were both $2.99. Gosh, we seem to be having a theme of $2.99 here don’t we?
I thought this little boy statue (which was also a planter) was so cute, but his head had been broken off and re-glued – so I passed. He still had an original sticker affixed to his pant leg naming him ‘Hank’. There was also a marking on the bottom, but I could not quite make it out. He was $1.99.
I saw a cute Napco Birthday Angel, but her wing was broken off. Bummer! She was $1.99.
I think???? this was an old Murano glass Pumpkin paper weight. I am not positive if it was Murano glass though, it just looked like it. It was $1.99.
My last find were some old diner chairs, no diner table though. The gold glitter seats looked original and in good shape. I thought the metal backs were done in a cool design, usually it is just a padded back. They were made by Chrome-Craft in St. Louis and were $9.99 each.
Hope y’all enjoyed the trip through Goodwill!
