Won’t You Be My Neighbor?

By Sablemable aka Jan

There are a LOT of Mid-Century Modern homes for sale in the Atlanta, Georgia area and today’s pick is at 3247 Wynn Drive in the City of Avondale Estates.

The house was built in 1954,  has 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a separate dining room, an eat-in kitchen and a 2-car attached garage.  No square footage was given, but this place rocks with room!

Coldwell Banker has the listing and can be viewed on www.realtor.com.

The price, I’m afraid, is way over my head at $424,900.00, but it is worth the time to take a look-see at the inside.

Let’s go window-peeping!

Tell me what you liked or disliked about this house and if you owned it, what MCM “upgrading” would you do?  (I would definitely repaint the outside to compliment the limestone)

The one lone mattress one the floor is a little odd. 😉 I would totally repaint the outside too. I wish they would show better pics of the kitchen cabs, I would SWEAR I saw ones exactly like those in a 60s house here.

Wow, I love all of the glass block in the house, especially nice in the master bedroom. I wouldn’t paint it, though, I actually like the colour that it’s painted now. I’d get rid of the carpet in the bedrooms, but that’s just my own personal vendetta against carpet, LOL

I would get rid of the multi-paned French doors.
