Won’t You Be My Neighbor?

By Sablemable aka Jan

Today’s “open house” is at 1441 Spruce Drive in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  The house, either a tri-level or quad level, was built in 1959 and according to the listing, this was the first house built on this road.

Here’s the 4-1-1:  4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, 2 half baths, 3 car garage, sauna, greenhouse with a generator, enclosed in-ground swimming pool, underground sprinkler system, 2 hidden safes, main floor laundry room, 2 fireplaces, lots of closets and an indoor BBQ grill in the kitchen.  Square footage is 4,858 and it’s listed at $350,000.00.  The Miller Connection Realty, Inc is the broker and can be contacted at (269) 384-0084.  The photos shown are courtesy of www.realtor.com.

All in all, this is pretty sweet!  The realty office even makes mention of the original “retro” decor!

So tell me what catches your eye, readers!

Whoo! whee! That house is amazing! First off, the outside is grand and stunning – and the rest of the house…there isn’t a single room that disappoints. My god, that kitchen…seriously gorgeous. The flagstone work.. the built-in bar.. that kapow! orange bathroom..the rec room built-ins…those huge windows.

So wonderful. I hope that someone buys it and keeps it just like it is. I can’t imagine changing a thing.

Wow!!!!!! What an awesome house Sable! I love all of it – the stone, the kitchen, the rec room! Do you think there is any way to move this house down to AZ? 🙂

Saraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!! No problem, I’ll have Bob hitch it up to the truck and haul it down, LOL!

Kelly! My only wish is that there would have been more photos, but you’re correct-nothing disappoints here!

Looks like the original front doors on the house, double doors at that!

Sable – I think you might have found my dream house, wow! I only wish they had more pictures, especailly of the greenhouse. I am in love with the private patio. And, wow, what a price, too, for a house of that size. That house would probably be half a mil around these parts!
