Vintage Crane Catalog Part 1

By Sara In AZ

I picked up some vintage catalogs at an Estate Sale a while back and among them were some Crane catalogs. I don’t know about y’all, but Crane is one of my very favorites, especially the Criterion collection. I scanned in all the pages of the catalog, but I will break it up into 2 posts.

Click on any picture for a larger version.

Here is the front cover! Eeeee, so lovely!

Can I be you blonde lady, with the awesome bathroom?

Here is the color chart.

Hmmmmm, I think I will go for one bathroom in ‘Shell Pink’ and one bathroom in ‘Sky Blue’!  🙂

Here is a picture of the “T” bath. Oh how I love you Criterion sinks!

Here is a picture of my new ‘Sky Blue’ bath – he he! I wish! I have to say that the square Crane ‘Neuvogue Receptor Bath’ is simply the most dreamy bathtub I have ever laid my eyes on!

I am just soooo in love with all the Crane bathroom pictures, I think I would have a hard time choosing my fixtures if I lived in the 1950s! I would probably have a 3 bedroom house with 37 bathrooms or something!

Here are fixtures for a charming small bathroom.

Here Crane is showing you how to modernize your old bathroom into a kitsch-ed out 50s bathroom! Love it!

Here they show you the different choices for the counter-top sinks. I think I will put my order in now for the ‘Modular Unit’ with the 2 Criterion sinks in ‘Shell Pink’. Y’all don’t think I’m too late, do you? 🙂

Don’t you just love that little ‘Lavanette’? It says it comes on it’s own steel cabinet base – how cool!

That’s all for now y’all! Stay tuned though, on Thursday, the rest of the Crane catalog!

These are terrific! The angled section containing the faucets is so cool and so practical – water drains back into the sink instead of off the lavatory onto the floor. I have the same light fixtures shown beside the mirror in the “Family T” bath in one of my baths. They’re old Lightolier flourescent fixtures which I just love (except they make you look like a corpse in the mirror!).

Thanks Annie! I really thought they were cool pics to see too. That is awesome that you have those same light fixtures – I’m jealous! 🙂

I bought a 1950’s Crane Criterion sink in grey, with original handles and in great condition, at my local “Restore” (Habitat for Humanity). I was thinking of switching it out with the sink in our formerly “remodeled” master bath. Or, we might put in a toilet and sink in the basement, since we have none there right now. I would love to find the matching grey toilet!
