Won’t You Be My Neighbor?

By Sablemable aka Jan

We will visit the house at 1375 N. Manor Drive in St. Joseph, Michigan that’s up for sale.  Although the house is on the small side with only 1400 square feet, there are 3 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, 1/2 bath, basement and 2 car attached garage.  The home was built in 1964 and is listed with American Homes Real Estate, (269) 428-1150.  The asking price is $145,000.00.  Photos courtesy of Keller Williams (www.kw.com).

I’m sorry that there wasn’t any more photos of the living room, bathrooms and kitchen.  I believe the kitchen has an eat-in area.

I adore the original front door and the room divider.  What do you adore, readers?

I am another one who’s loving the original front door! However – 1400 sq ft = small?? Especially with a full basement, I am thinking that’s a lot of room!

Oh, that front door is sweet! The kitchen is too. I wish we could see a close up of the bathroom floor! What a cute house!

I like small houses myself, as I consider it a challenge to organize all of my stuff to fit into it, LOL!

For some reason the basement footage ain’t added into the overall sq. feet; only just the main living area. So you are correct, Andreaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa in including the basement. To me it feels small.

Apparently MCM time-capsule homes don’t go over very well here in southwestern Michigan, so it’s no wonder the realty offices don’t snap many photos. I would be all over those houses, wide-angle and up close shots!

    Saaaable!

I know as a general rule, real estate listings here don’t add in the basement square footage in the listing, either. I have a hard time thinking of 1400 sq ft as small, my house is 1096 sq ft (plus full basement), and it seems to be an average sized mid century home for this area. And usually seems big to me, as before we bought this place, we were renting a mid century home that was only 800 sq ft, and we only rented the main floor, LOL. I guess it all depends upon what you’re used to!

Oh, I love that front door. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a door with diamonds arranged horizontally. Love it. Great house.
