Won’t You Be My Neighbor?

By Sablemable aka Jan

There are some beautiful MCM homes for sale in the Detroit area and it is shameful that this area, once the car capital of the world, is an economic disaster.  As a result, the beautiful homes once built for executives and workers are being sold for peanuts.  A lot of these homes have been on the market for years now.  Shameful.

At 1570 Forest Lane in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan is one fine example of a MCM home.  Built in 1953, this home has 2,346 square feet, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a 2-car attached garage, lots of built-ins, a walk-in pantry, first floor laundry room and separate in-law quarters.  The home sits on 2 acres of land.  Tony Camerella of Keller Williams is the agent and can be reached at 313-605-2987.  The asking price is $299,900.00.

There is so much that I love about this house-the built-ins, the hardwoods.

What makes you swoon, readers?

Awwwww, Sable!!! That fireplace. And, that green tile bath.

I’ll bet the Detroit area has some incredible MCM homes, particularly Bloomfield Hills. Wow, would I ever love to see them all.
