What’s Going On in Ferndale, Michigan?

By Sablemable aka Jan

First off, Ferndale is a suburb of Detroit.  That out of the way I found a treasure trove of retro goods from Ferndale on the Craigslist Detroit Metro page.  As you’ll see below, there are some marvelous pieces that are being sold pretty darned cheap.  Also, it appears the items are being sold by the same person.  One-stop shopping is what we love!

Here are some of my favorites.

Two lovely purses, each $10.00.

A pair of white table lamps for $40.00.

A double bed frame from the Heywood-Wakefield Encore line, $125.00.

And, more Heywood-Wakefield, a vanity and stool from the Rio Line for $100.00.

A Montgomery Ward Signature stove in coppertone finish for $50.00.

A Paul McCobb coffee table for $90.00.

Road trip, anyone?

My best friend lives there. I should make her go and get me that Heywood-Wakefield set!

That vanity and stool is amazing at that price! If that showed up at the thrift store in West Hollywood they would have priced it at $900. and it would have sold! The lamps are cool, too.
