MCM Postcards

By Sablemable aka Jan

CardCow (www.cardcow.com) has an extensive postcard collection for sale and one may browse their library to one’s heart’s content.  So if you’ve ever wondered what people write on the backs of postcards, well, wonder no more!

The front shows a shot of Lake Texarkana in all its calm and beauty,  but turn it over and whoa!  What’s the hurry, Jim?

What’s hot out there, Margaret?

Why can’t John Doyle see this postcard?  And who is Lorene?

Still doing business?  Same old stand?  I’ll leave it to your imagination.

This child had a wonderful time in Dizzy-land, but it was so hot he couldn’t eat or sleep, not to mention the biting ants and jumping rodents.

Give me your narrative of your favorite postcard, readers?

These are really great Postcards Sable! Gotta love that Dizzy-land one. It’s so much fun to read all the different old notes. 🙂 Great Find!

LOL, Saraaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! I liked that one, too, especially about the jumping rodents!!!!!

I still want to know why John Doyle can’t see that postcard.

I am so intrigued about Lorene and John Doyle! And that comment about ponies.

I have always found it so fascinating that back in the day, a lot of times, people didn’t need full addresses – just their name and a town.

Hi, Eartha! LOL, yeah, no zip code, either, but sometimes in metropolitan areas, you’d see Philadelphia 6, Pennsylvania. The number could represent a mail delivery route.
