Star-Studded MCM Home, Futura Random Harvest Teapot & The Powder Room

By RetroRuth

Fun stuff this week on Twitter and our Facebook page. First up, as always, a fantastic MCM house.

Star-Studded MCM Home For Sale

This pretty baby is truly a gem. Located on an acre (!) of land in Palm Springs, all this house needs is some MCM furniture and it could be a really gorgeous showplace.  On top of that, the real estate agent claims it has been home to William Holden, Stephanie Powers, Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn and Tippi Hedren.

Futura Random Harvest Teapot & Sugar

This gorgeous teapot and sugar bowl belong to studiosmith over on Modish.net, which I just discovered this last week and has eaten up HOURS of my time since then. It is a community of Mid-Century Modern pottery collectors, and has tons of info plus members can show off their awesome finds! Reader Billy from FB is a member (oelectricmayhemo) and you should be, too!

The Powder Room Video From Glamour Daze

Love, love this fun video from Glamour Daze. Nothing like a little primping to get us through the week!

That powder room video is a total hoot!

Hmmmmmmmm, do you think there is any way we could all scrape together 1.4 million to buy that house in Palm Springs???? We could all vacation there! 🙂

I could browse Modish.net for the rest of eternity. A wealth of gorgeous scenery and so much information.

I’ll bet one of the Modish members could tell you all about your MCM rooster, Ruth.
