Two-Day Giveaway & MCM Weekly NewsBy RetroRuth
Hello, folks! Here are the news highlights from our Facebook page and Twitter account for this week. Remember, this is only the highlight reel. Lots of great stuff happened this week in our posts. So much that most of it isn’t even in this list! Gotta love the exciting world of Mid-Century!
Check out this gorgeous ranch built by a chemical engineer in Houston, TX. It has never been on the market before, and is going to make some lover of MCM very, very happy.
Photographer Shelby White did a great series recently featuring a lot of images of Mid-Century Modern architecture, illustration and design. Check it out, it is really gorgeous!
I don’t know about you guys, but whenever I see a gadget or appliance that even MIGHT be vintage, I go ga-ga. This Flickr pool practically had my eyes rolling back in my head.
Tomboys At The Abbey by Elise J. Oxenham, found at a recent garage sale!
We had so much with last week’s giveaway, we decided to do it again! This time we are giving away a gently used copy of The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown (It is gently used because of a purple crayon mark on its back. Otherwise it is in good shape!).
This adorable children’s book was first published in 1942, and features some really, really fun illustrations! Just leave a comment here or on our FB page to be entered. Contest winner will be announced on Monday morning!
