Kathryn With A Blue Dress On

By RetroRuth

Kathryn of Studio Grandbois and I have way, way too much fun.  Recently we have decided to get together frequently and just take fun, retro pictures because…well, we can.

Besides being disgustingly talented, Kathryn is also disgustingly gorgeous. And small enough to fit into some really, really fun vintage dresses I have been hoarding.

Like this 1950’s sweater dress, for sale right now in my shop!

Recognize the house? Oh yes, that is our house. Yes, it is.  That orange is the color that Tom and I spent all last summer slathering on the trim.

And Kathryn is ringing our fun Starburst doorbell that we finally got around to installing.  But more on that in another post.

See?  I told you she was disgusting.

The marble fireplace makes for a fun hallway to take pictures in.

She is jumping with joy because…well, she can.

Belt: Vintage, from another dress

Purse: Vintage

Shoes: Kathryn’s own

Dress: Vintage 1950’s Sweater Dress. For sale right now in my shop!

I am so impressed with you gals. I thought those pics were from the sixties, really! I am disappointed that you are not living here in Hollywood; You’d fit right in, my dears! You just keep up your creativity and know that you are Officially Fabulous- and I have the power to confer that title! BTW: I FINALLY figured out what Sara and you kids are doing with the elongated vowels- You’re doing Oprah, right?! OMG! Why did it take me so long to realize that?! (For what it’s worth, my friend lives next door to her in Montecito on East Valley Road. No gossip, my lips are sealed! However, the other day when…)

    Thanks, Sara!!! 🙂

Jamie! You are so sweet, thanks for the compliments. I am also disappointed that we aren’t in Hollywood, because I have a feeling that being your neighbor would be TONS of fun! 🙂 I will guard my “Officially Fabulous” status with care. And fantastic vintage frocks!

Your locks are lovely, as Holy Writ says: “A crowning glory.” I had hair once. I have pictures, I can prove it! It was wonderful. Bought hair products and everything. I once used so much my hair dresser said I had Mouse Abuse. (I was born in Ireland and had gorgeous auburn hair. It left on the last train to Clarksville…) Anyway, enough about my lost locks. I have a feeling that wherever you sweet girls are your neighbors are blessed and isn’t it wonderful that we are neighbors in cyber space?!
