The Wilson House – Kitchen

By Sara In AZ

Oh boy y’all! This is it. This is what you have been waiting for, the crown jewel of The Wilson House!!!

The Wilson House kitchen in all of it’s laminate glory! And it is SOOOOOOO gorgeous!

They have done this kitchen in the Mondrian style, with different colors of laminates used all over the kitchen. I think it creates a really super cool look.

Can you believe they actually removed ALL of these cabinets and them re-installed them all again!

Wow! I would LOVE to have even a fraction of this cabinet space in my kitchen.

A close-up of the stove top side of the island.

Here is a close-up of the trivet that is inset into the counter next the the stove top.

Ooooohhhh, orange gold fleck!!!!!!! Spectacular!!! 🙂

The eating area in the kitchen.

The Chambers oven is set into the wall that houses the fireplace. You would have your back directly to this area if you are standing at the stove top.

Oh so pretty!

Another view of the wall oven looking towards the desk area in the kitchen.

That is the stove top on the far right.

The sweet little desk area in the kitchen.

I believe this is the original Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer combo. They have cool light copper colored panels on the outside.

A far view of the kitchen standing in the dining room.

A close-up of the seating area in the kitchen.

And, a close-up of the awesome original light!

Here is the sink, located on the island too. The stove top is just opposite the sink on the island.

One last picture of the fantastic Wilson House kitchen!

I love you Wilson House!!!

Thanks for taking this tour with me y’all, I hope everyone enjoyed seeing the Wilson House.

I really want to thank everyone I came in contact with over at Wilsonart. Diana Zaremba was instrumental in setting my tour up, and when she could not make it that day Kathy Calhhoun stepped in and showed us around this magical place. Thanks Kathy for a great tour! I really appreciate everything you both did, Diana and Kathy,  to make this tour happen for me. Thanks also to Elmer Boutin, the Webmaster for Wilsonart International. I really appreciate you getting the word out about my posts Elmer! Everyone at Wilsonart was so lovely and charming, thank you for some really special memories.

The Wilson House is located in Temple Texas and I highly recommend a tour of this fantastic house, you will not be disappointed. You will need to call ahead and make an appointment, as the house is not open all the time. It is pretty much a one on one tour, so it is really cool to explore around the house by yourself  with the tour guide. The phone number for tours is 254.207.2806 and tours are available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.

Angels singing!! Honestly, I can’t even begin to list how many things that I love about this kitchen so I’ll just say that I love ALL of the details! I would never leave that kitchen. I’d invite strangers in just to see it and throw parties all of the time (and you know that I’m a wallflower). Wowee, what a kitchen!

Miss RM – I know, I was positively giddy the entire time I was in there! 🙂

Eartha – I can hear the angels singing too! And I agree, I would stand outside, on the curb, and make strangers come inside just to see my awesome kitchen. 🙂

Sable – It IS a Chambers wall oven!!! 🙂 This kitchen really is the best!
