No Pattern Required On Herman Miller’s Blog

By RetroRuth

Well, I am officially high on Herman Miller this week. Tom and were already pumped about purchasing this reproduction Eames rocking chair for one of the guest rooms. So excited, in fact, that I sneak off to sit in it a couple of times a day for no reason at all other than it’s a great rocker.

But then I went onto the blog on the Herman Miller website yesterday, and I got a big surprise:

We are in their Top 10 places of where they’ve “wandered on the web this week” on the Lifework blog

Needless to say, I was stunned.  For some reason, even though the Statpress graph on my WordPress Dashboard has been telling me that the number of people visiting us every day is going up and up,  part of me is still convinced that only about 40 people actually read this blog. Mostly because they are my friends and/or family. But then something exciting like this happens, and I get all warm and fuzzy inside.

So thanks, Herman Miller, for making my week. Maybe even my year. And always know that you guys are in my Top 10 for life for making this chair:

Quite possibly the most comfortable chair in the world.

Woot! Congratulations RetroRuth. I’d be on a high too.

I want an Eames lounger (like almost everyone else) but I’m still yet to sit in one so I can’t comment on how comfortable they are. Except they DO look extremely comfortable.

I found a Herman Miller knock-off once at a thrift store. It was all vinyl, even the back was woodgrain vinyl. I had to pass on it though.
And I am not related, nor have I ever met you.
