The 1955 “Motoramic” Chevrolet, Your Prescription for Travel

Or How Many Times Can You Say “New” In 50 Seconds?

By RetroRuth

These 1955 Chevy’s are beauts, too good not to share with all of you AND they’re NEW! Check out these great commercials to see the new “Motoramic” goodness.

What to watch for:

1. A yellow stop sign.

2. “New show-car styling.”

3. A flashing countdown.

4. Red gloves and hat!

5. “Pick out the newest new car in America, the new Motoramic Chevrolet. Each bright new model features show-car styling all it’s own with a new body design by Fischer.”

Huh…I wonder if it’s new?

After watching all of these, I have pretty much been brainwashed into wanting a new Motoramic Chevrolet. Come…join me…

What I find funny about the ads is at no point did they refer to it being a Chevrolet Bel Air! You’d think they’d mention the model, but I guess they were too busy pointing out that it was new and “motoramic”, LOL.

Ha! I was thinking what Sara said! We could have a party drinking game where every time they say “new” we could take a shot!

Those cars our glorious. New cars suck. Nuff said.
