Won’t You Be My Neighbor? Midland, MichiganBy Sablemable aka Jan
Our fearless leader, Retro Ruth, forward this week’s home to me and after I came to from a dead faint, I realized that this is possibly the ultimate contemporary (and time-capsule perfect) MCM house that has been featured here.
Built in 1964, the home is located at 3201 Sugnet Road in beautiful Midland, Michigan. It has 4 bedrooms, 2-1/2 bathrooms, 3401 square feet, city water and sewer, forced gas heat and central air conditioning. The best part of this home is the shell was constructed of Styrofoam. Yes, Virginia, you heard correctly: Styrofoam, provided by the Dow Chemical Company. More information on the house can be accessed here .
*Note from Ruth: The 360 degree tour on the sellers website is beyond fabulous!!! Click here to check it out!
The price of this jewel is $325,000.00 and can be seen by contacting Badger Beall at 1-800-362-9890 or visiting their website.

Let us give thanks to the original owners, the current owners (for not re-habbing) and the Dow Chemical Company for providing our universe with such beauty. Amen!
My favorite feature of the home is the built-ins and the use of stained glass ala MCM modern.
What are your favorite features, readers?
