Won’t You Be My Neighbor? Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania

By Sablemable aka Jan

Nestled among a throng of trees is our MCM home of the week.  At 6 Fieldvue Lane in Fox Chapel, a suburb of Pittsburgh, this 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom (all full baths) was built in 1964.  The square footage was not listed, but appears to be very spacious according to the photos.  The exterior is brick, there is a finished basement and 2-car garage.  The basement may be a walk-out.  Keller Williams Pittsburgh South is showing the home and you can call them at (412) 831-3800 for a showing.  The price is $398,000.00.   Photos are courtesy of Keller Williams (www.kw.com).

I wish there had been more photos with lots of details, but I was satisfied nonetheless.

I gasped at several features in the home.  What made you swoon, readers?

Loving the vaulted ceilings, the fireplace and the beams. Gorgeous house! Love the property that it’s on, too, looks so nicely treed and secluded.

Sweet house. Had to laugh when I saw the steel poles in the basement. In my 1961 “How to Do It” Encyclopedia, there is a section on basements. It shows how to turn your basement into a beautiful entertaining space. One of the tips was to decorate these poles as palm trees 8)

Love this house! There are some super sweet hanging lights, and the bathroom is pretty cool, too. But the vaulted ceilings are the best!!
