This IS Your Granny’s Crafting! Pillow Pet EditionBy Betty Crafter
I’m a sucker for felt crafts. Weird, I know. I’m also a goner for 60′s flower power and cutesy animals. So when I came across these cuties in a vintage craft mag, I knew it was only a matter of time until I had one for my very own:
I know, right? Cute doesn’t quite cover it. Now Mr. Turtle greets our guests in the guest/craft room!
Is he not charming? I omitted a few of the flowers as the amount called for in the pattern seemed excessive, and I was really looking forward to making something I wouldn’t have to hide in the closet. (I’m talking about you, terrifying crochet clown.) This was so easy that I wouldn’t be surprised to find Mr. Mouse and Mr. Elephant joining this guy…

Hee hee!! That is the most flower-power turtle I have ever seen! Love his little smile. Too cute, Betty!

That has to be the most adorable turtle ever! I especially love the way all his little feet are lined up that way!

Awww, he’s too cute! I can see why you omitted a couple of flowers, though, yowza!

Thanks guys! Nothing too earth-shattering here, but I’ve got more up my sleeve!

That looks so easy- a Sara could do it! I think I like the elephant the best out of the 3 because he looks like the spotted pink elephant from Rudolph… I am a child. And Halloween is coming- you should let the clown out of the closet! Bwhahaaahahaa!
