Won’t You Be My Neighbor? South Orange Village Township, New Jersey

By Sablemable aka Jan

Yes, it’s Friday and we normally do our MCM Home Improvement post, but, Retro Ruth came up with the idea that we should do a weekend of Won’t You Be My Neighbor posts.

So, enjoy your Labor Day weekend and if you don’t celebrate Labor Day, then just enjoy your days off.

It’s always nice to find surprises in the real estate listings across America and today’s surprise is located at 345 Ravine Drive in South Orange Village Township, New Jersey.   Built in 1963, this 4 bedroom, 5 bathroom brick modern home is positioned on a wooded lot with a stream running near the property.   The home has a 2-car attached garage, cathedral and beamed ceilings and cedar closets.  The price is $799,000.00 and is listed with Coldwell Banker.  The sales associate, Phyllis Brightman, may be contacted at (973) 376-5200.

    Wow! Amazing!

Olive the sunken living room with the couches. I’ve always wanted that. When I was a kid, it seemed like all the really nice houses had sunken living rooms.

This was pretty hubba-hubba in 1963! I love how timeless it is and would live here in a heartbeat. That living/dining area is incredible – great for entertaining.

Can’t yhu all just see a cocktail party going on here ala 1963? Women with beehive hairdos, cocktail dresses, stiletto heels; the men in suits and ties. Martinis and hors-d’oevres and some Rat Pack on the Hi-Fi. Sigh.

OMG, this house is soooooo gorgeous! I love the beams, the openness, the lines, the huge windows. I don’t think there’s a single thing that I don’t like about it!
