Won’t You Be My Neighbor? Three Oaks, Michigan

By Sablemable aka Jan

Down the road a spell is the Village of Three Oaks.  A farming community, you would expect a lot of traditional farmhouses.  Not so, as villagers latched on to mid-century modern architecture.

One of these houses sits at 406 Cedar.  With 1800 square feet of living space, there are 3 bedrooms, 1-1/2 bathrooms, a full basement and 2-car attached garage, all for $164,900.00.  The home was built in 1955 and is listed with Keller Williams Realty SWM.  The agent is Dan Morissette and may be reached at (269) 982-7653.

This is a great MCM house!  With a few tweeks, like authentic lighting, new linoleum or tiles in the foyer, kitchen, and basement, you are Ready-Freddy to move in!

I love, love, love that they used wrought iron accents inside of the house. I also love the linoleum in the foyer.

What a great house! That fireplace with the curved end is awesome, and I just love how every mid-century house has a bar in the basement!!! 🙂

Le Sigh!!!! Jan you are killing me here!!!! That house is a dream, and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE living in 3 Oaks. I worked there for several years. It is such a great little town. That house is even close to our house budget when we were shopping for one. But…Bridgman is good, too. *Sigh* (again) I will say that our schools are a bit better than 3 Oaks, so that is a good thing.
But then, one could school of choice….ack! Must STOP dreaming!!!!
