Won’t You Be My Neighbor? Toledo, Ohio

By Sablemable aka Jan

Well, I was going to do a multiple MCM real estate bonanza today that was sent in by reader Johnna, but, I couldn’t get Photobucket to cooperate.  I’ll keep working at it, because Johnna is looking for a MCM home in McKinney, Texas and we want to help her out.  If you find any others, Johnna, send them on!

Instead, I found a nice MCM home in Toledo, Ohio.  Located at 3420 Kingsgate (in the Ottawa Park/Westgate area), this 3 bedroom, 2-1/2 bath home was built in 1954.  No basement, but there is a lot of room; 2,478 square feet of room to have fun in!  With the exception of an updated (ugh) back door, storm door and some lighting, everything else looks pretty original.  The home is listed with Welles Bowen Realtors and the agent, Nancy Kabat may be reached at (419) 535-0011.  The asking price is $159,900.00.   Photos are courtesy of  Realtor.com (www.realtor.com).

The bedrooms looked pretty average and the photos of them were incomplete, meaning the photographer didn’t take good shots of them, so I didn’t include them in the display.

I like this house very much with the exception of no basement.  With all of the MCM lights I have in my possession, plus a “new” MCM kitchen counter and refinishing of the cabinets (don’t forget that awful back door and storm doors, Sab!), this would be a beautiful home to live in.

Your thoughts, gang?

Those bathrooms……I die from the awesomeness!!!! I’ll just bet those kitchen cabs used to be natural like the laundry room. Boo-hiss for painting them. 🙁 That storm door and the dining room light have got to GO!

Oh, and the sinks in the bathrooms are gorgeous!
