Won’t You Be My Neighbor? Portland, Oregon

By Sablemable aka Jan

Wow, wow, wow-wow-wow!  I’m beginning to believe that the best MCM homes are located in the Northwest United States!  There were so many authentic homes to choose from that I could post one home a day and not run out of them.

For example, this classic contemporary home located at 3122 SW Maricara Street.  Built in 1954, this cedar and stone exterior house has 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and 1 half bathroom; 3 stories, a 2-car attached garage and 2,574 square feet.  Interior features are lots of redwood, mahogany and built-ins, floor-to-ceiling windows and vaulted beamed ceilings.  Living Room Realtors (www.livingroomrealtors.com) in Portland is the broker and Jenelle Isaacson is the agent.  Call her for a showing at (513) 719-5588.  The price for all of this MCM beauty is $539,000.00.   Photos are courtesy of Keller Williams (www.kw.com).

I love this home, especially the windows and the entry.

Is this home a winner, readers?

Wow, wow, wow! If we were to move anywhere in the US, the hubby would want to move to Portland … I am beginning to think it’s not such a bad idea!

We just began an adventure on a 1964 Fred Bassetti house on Mercer Island, WA. The Northwest is full of gorgeous MCM homes. Hope you check out our blog cataloging our process and MCM fascination as well.
