Won’t You Be My Neighbour?

By Sablemable aka Jan

“Sable! You spelled neighbor wrong!” say the readers.  “ Oh, no I didn’t!”  says Sable.   ‘Cos that’s the way it’s spelled in Oz!  Crokey.

Yep, we’re here in Australia/Down Under/Oz for today’s very special WYBMN.

Deborah Wall sent in the photos from her Pinterest site (http://pinterest.com/deborahwall/).  Good on ya, mate!

This first home was built in the 50s.  No specific year is listed on the realtor’s site, but the photos are fab!  This home is located in Eaglemont, Victoria and sold for $885,000.00.  There are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Sadly, both listings encouraged RENOVATION!  Why?  My God, I’m pulling my hair out!  These homes look absolutely MCM perfect, don’t they readers?

Thanks again to Deborah Wall for the images.  These were fantastic!

Hee, your spelling of neighbour looked right to me, as that’s how we spell it up here, too! I am madly in love with all of the built-ins in the first house, as well as the dark tile in the bathrooms! The outside of the second house is gorgeous, and I love the kitchen and the bathroom in that one as well!

Eaglemont is full of gorgeous 50s houses like that. And that price tag wouldn’t raise an eyebrow in Melbourne either! In fact, that Caufield North one is comparatively a bargain.

    Thanks Deborah Wall for sharing!
