Won’t You Be My Neighbor? Upper Saddle River Borough, New Jersey

By Sablemable aka Jan

I think I can get preapproval on this house.  Well, maybe, but it sure would be worth the financial background check!

Our featured home is a classic MCM contemporary built in 1960.  The address is 18 Stone Ledge Road and there are 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and 1 half bath.  Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage has the listing and their phone number is 201-825-2400.  You can also visit their website, www.coldwellbankermoves.com.  The property is listed at $799,500.00.    Photos are courtesy of www.trulia.com.

Here’s the front of the house and the entrance and holy mother of God, look at the door hardware!

Now, as you’re all clutching your chests, here’s the foyer. Plenty of closet space to hang up the coats of your party guests!

As you can see, the living room is straight ahead to the right……..

And to the left of the foyer, off the living room and up a few steps is the dining room.

Classic kitchen with a not-so-classic floor and light changes, but, easily remedied!   Nice pinch-pleated drapes.

I would call this a sun room and it can be seen right off of the dining room photo.

The rec room with a neat-o bar!

The is an unknown room.  A bedroom, maybe?  Part of the rec room?  You decide.

A couple of bedrooms with fabulous built-ins.

And a brick wall!

A blue bathroom.  A beautiful untouched (nearly!) blue bathroom with beautiful blue mosaic tile.  Sigh!  It doesn’t get any better than this!

Oh, look!  MORE mosaic tile, this time in yellow and mint green!

The end.

I love the bathroom sink shapes. In fact I WANT them. I’ve got a bathroom counter that is very shallow front to back (20 inches), and a sink shape like that would be perfect! LOVE the tile!

Love the built-in scale in the blue bathroom. And the slate floors! Le sigh…
