I always get emotional about things like that scrapbook. My first reaction is “how neat!” My second reaction is always something like, “who put Dick and Aggie out to the curb like a couple of orphans?” So sad that some family member didn’t see the value of this, but I hope it gets adopted by someone who will love it. It looks like it’s full of AMAZING things.

I feel exactly the same way. Whenever I see these kind of things up for sale, I get all choked up. Like you said, hopefully it will go to a good home, and they will cherish it and Aggie and Dick’s courtship will live on!

I know Laura and Maureen, I totally agree. I don’t know if you ever saw my post on the Wedding Scrapbook I bought a long time ago, it was just as awesome of a scrapbook and just as sad of a story about it being sold.

I did read your lovely post about the wedding scrapbook, I am fairly new to this site, and spent the last few months reading all the archives. Your post had me in tears, I was pouring over the pictures, the sweet telegrams-just wonderful. I was so happy that scrapbook had found a happy home.

Love the Mondrian clock & the western wallpaper. I’m guessing maybe Dick & Aggie didn’t have kids?

I suppose that is possible, that they did not have any kids. It just seems so sad that NO ONE in the family wanted it though.
