Magasin du Nord is, and always has been, the largest department store in the country. The Home Furnishings Department is noted for its wide range of glassware, china, silver, furniture and carpets.

    Oh my. My parents took us here on a family trip in 1970. Mom bought stainless steel place settings with wooden handles and enamelware bowls. She still uses them daily. What a wonderful memory-this store was droolworthy!
