Won’t You Be My Neighbor Friday Edition! Fayetteville, Arkansas

By Sablemable

Kudos to NPR follower Timothy Kessler for finding today’s home!

This is a structure designed by E. Fay Jones, an architect who apprenticed under Frank Lloyd Wright.  Jones used a lot of Wright’s design principles, but made them his (Jones) own.

The home is located at 1003 N. Sunset Drive and was built in 1959.  There are 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2575 square feet and is priced at $269,000.00.  For more details, visit the web site, www.fayjoneshomeforsale.com.

My favorite features of the home?  The paneled ceilings and the parquet floors!

What do you like, readers?

YAY! I am so glad you folks used this! Fayetteville is such a neat college town nestled in the Ozark Mountains with lots of MCM homes.

I agree about the paneled ceilings, but day-um, those towel racks are pretty awesome!

The towel racks are awesome! However, they are not original to the home. A previous owner was also an architect and my understanding is that he added them. They certainly do align with Mr. Jones’ design though.

I love the bookshelves lining the hallway! The house seems quite dark and closed up, especially the kitchen. Maybe it’s the pictures? But the woodwork and details like the towel racks, AMAZING.

Oh my goodness! This house is FANTASTIC! I think the only thing I would change are the appliances, and those clearly aren’t original, anyway!

Some of the bathroom floors need to be redone but the house is amazing! I love the paneled ceilings!
