January 7, 2013Thrifting Finds – More Panthers, Felt Santa Claus and a Pink Kitty
I have been so busy lately that I have barely had time to go thrifting. But, right before Christmas, I just happened to be driving by my local Salvation Army with 20 mins to burn and so I decided to stop in. And am I glad that I did! I found some great stuff.
But first, the stuff I didn’t end up buying.
This dinette set was adorable, and so tiny! There were only two chairs with it, but they had the most amazing vinyl on the seats.
A pair of very pretty dressers in the furniture area. Good thing there is NO room in my house for these suckers, because by the time I got there they were already sold!
These I kind of feel bad about not getting. They were embroidery on the front and chenille on the back!
And then…there was this guy…
Despite the fact that I left quite a bit of stuff behind, I was still able to score some fun stuff.
Like these guys!
Tom was pretty surprised on Christmas when he opened these! The one in the back is a planter, he is missing his metal collar and chain so we are going to have to rig something up for him. The one in the front is a TV lamp that is missing the wiring, so that is going to need to be replaced as well.
For 65 cents, I couldn’t resist this:
I kept putting it back and then picking it up again until finally it came home with me. Tom was not pleased, but he will get over it.
And last, but not least, a girlfriend for my china cabinet kitty.
Isn’t she pretty? From the empty loop around her neck I am guessing she had a few kids on the lead at one time, but I still thought she was too cute on her own. I LOVE the painted claws! She is a girly-girl!
So, how about you guys? Been doing any thrifting and finding any stuff? Let me know!
