Etsy Friday! Vintage Fashion DesignersWhat did the well dressed women of the Fifties and Sixties wear?
How about this hot pink dress by designer Rudy Gernreich? From seller tavernacular.
Richard Blackwell, aka Mr. Blackwell was known for his best and worst dressed lists. But he also designed clothing, like this gray dress and cape. From seller millstreetvintage.
American designer Anne Fogarty offered classic and mod styles, like this bold print maxi dress. From seller folieAdeuxVintage.
This Fifties cocktail dress by Oleg Cassini is to die for! From seller hemlockvintage.
Look at these wild rain boots from Mary Quant! From seller PennyDreadfulVintage.
Japanese designer Hanae Mori had some wonderful designs and really became popular in the Sixties. From seller expvintage.
Of course, you just had to have an Emilio Pucci original and here is one of his earlier designs-a jumpsuit with matching booties! From seller xtabayvintge.
Paco Rabanne designed this shiny metal overlay that I would guess covered a silk long skirt, pants or gown. From seller thingsofsplendor.
Chester Weinberg was a popular designer and here is one of his designs, a darling lace and taffeta dress in either black or blackish green. From seller Planetclairevintage.
Another favorite, Norman Norell, designed this taupe-gray dress with attached belt. Very simple but stylish. From seller PinkyAGoGo.
French designer, Pauline Trigere designed this 3 piece woolen (alpaca?) suit in the Fifties. From seller RecyclingTheBlues.
I really love this Pierre Cardin knit dress with his signature logo printed all over it! This may be from the Seventies, but who cares, I like it anyway! From seller hillbillyfilly.
From the father of space-age and color-block apparel, here is a pair of Andre Courreges boots. Seller ParisVintageBcn says they are from the Sixties.
How did you like our fashion show, readers? Do you have a favorite MCM fashion designer?

Thank you, Apsutter! If that Mr. Blackwell dress would fit me, I would buy it. Looks as good now as it did then.

Any chance you can link to items on etsy when you do these posts? Love these posts, and I almost always end up following links from the eBay posts but have noticed the links are absent from the etsy ones. It’s kind of a pain to try to hunt out the individual items.

I love the Pierre Cardin dress! As for my favourite mid century designer, mine’s from earlier mid century. I love Schiaparelli, especially the lobster dress, just because it is so unusual!
