Won’t You Be My Neighbor? Amberley, Ohio

By Sablemable

Today’s home is brought to you by Amy on Facebook.  Yeah, Amy!

Located at 3417 Section Road is a contemporary home built in 1952, and, because of it’s interior design of loads of built-ins, it was featured in the July 1954 issue of Better Homes and Gardens magazine.  Another surprise: it’s a one owner home!

Don’t be disappointed with the exterior!  That can be remedied; it’s the interior that you will go crazy over.  There are 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths and 1 half bath.  There is also a family room and a study and heated floors.  Unfortunately, there are no photos of the bathrooms.  C’mon, realtors!  Include photos of the bathrooms, please!

Keller Williams Advisors Realty has the listing and may be contacted at (513) 766-9200

The price is $152,000.00 and there are conflicting reports that the house is no longer for sale, and/or there is a sale pending.

The Living Room

The Dining Room

The Kitchen

Now, what is this on the counter?  An electric built-in warming buffet pan?

(Gasp!)  To the left of the burners, is that not one of those roaster/deep fryer pots? (I’m so excited that I can’t think of the proper name for it!)

The Family Room

Possibly the study or one of the bedrooms (OMG!  Not only a built-in desk, but a built-in day bed!)

A Bedroom

An enclosed patio

A patio al fresco

Oh, my!  I am at a loss for words and I need the smelling salts!

What do you think, readers, or do you need oxygen?

If I didn’t love my house so much, I might think about moving to Ohio…

Gorgeous! What a price, too! I think I would be trying to negotiate for the furniture as well.

Awesome! I hope that if this is sold, the new owner will keep it as is!

Anyone have a copy of the magazine this house was featured in? It would be interesting to compare the outside.

    I really like those bedspreads…

Long time reader, first time commentator.

This is an awesome house and only 90 minutes from me. And what a great price!! If not for the 3 hour round trip commute I would have for work, I would snatch this up in a second!

I may be mistaken, but it looks like there is also a pass-through from the kitchen to the dining room. Look directly beneath the painting on the wall in the dining room and then at the space between the cabinets and countertop to the right of the refrigerator. They look like sliding panels and seem to match up.

And love the rotary phone in the kitchen! 🙂
