My Vintage Volkswagen Westfalia – The Interior Reveal!

By Andrea

We’ve finally got the interior put back in the Westi, and it looks awesome! I’ve got a whole bunch of pictures to share with you all. For my previous posts on the work that we’ve done, please check them out here!

Here’s a general view of the back of the van. New seat upholstery, new curtains, new floor, new trim on the sink cabinet and a new water pump there as well.

Here’s the new seat that we made from the original base, and you can see the retro camping curtains a little more closely.

Here’s the front seats, with the custom vinyl slip covers. You can also see the door panel which was reupholstered.

Here you can see the new curtain that covers the front, and the the original child’s cot installed. Ella loves sleeping in here!

New pop top window from the inside.

And the custom spare tire cover on the front. However, as you can see, the paint isn’t done yet! Once we get the paint done, however, I will definitely have another post showcasing that for you all as well.

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing our work on the van. It made it’s inaugural camping trip this past weekend, and was utterly awesome to camp in!

Thanks, Sara! It was a little questionable if it was going to make it out last weekend, as we discovered a last minute non-working alternator. However, we got a new one Fedexed in, Darren got it going right before we had to leave, and it ran like a champ! You’ll get an invite next time for sure! 😀
