    Hi Sara,

In looking Home Depot’s site, it appears that the tub is separate from the surround. The cheapest tub I found was $198 (YMMV based on location) and the least expensive surround I found was $59. Please remember, however, that you get what you pay for. You may be better off doing a good clean and repair until you can save up for something of higher quality, especially where water is concerned.

I love Lustron houses! It’s too bad that they covered the outside with siding, but the interior looks fairly original. It seems like a very low price for a Lustron, and that it would be a good deal all the way around. Thanks for sharing this post with Lustron lovers!

There are good Lustron sites that a new owner can access and us Lookie-Lou’s can ogle. I see for sale in WV, WI and IL. There was one FS in NC for some time at 25K (I last looked in 2012).

I thought it would be great to get two and make a 3 bed, 2 bath out of it and sell the kitchen, extra bed and LR for parts or build a wood frame bath and make a 1/1 rental.

Not a great choice for AZ I think.

This first one will make you weep.
