Antiquing At Americana and Bay City Antique Center

By RetroRuth

Here are some more photos from our recent trip to Bay City!  Not only did I get to see the awesome vintage wedding dress display, but I was also able to stop in at one of my favorite places, Americana.

I love Americana, and not just because the front window of this antique store is always filled with a 50’s-60’s-70’s display.

There is also a lovely room in back that looks like a garden. A garden of vintage dresses. And it always is gorgeous.

This rack full of vintage fabrics and barkcloth always kills me! Lots of good pieces here, but nothing that really knocked my socks off.

There were even racks of vintage children’s clothes!

I fell in love with this little NOS girls robe. It is just darling, and sorry for the blurry picture!

If it wouldn’t have been YEARS too big for Alex, I would have gotten it. If only it would have been in my size!

Loved this vintage living room set-up. That lamp was especially nice.

And I don’t know how many times I’ve looked at this Art Deco dollhouse furniture. Too bad my vintage dollhouse is a Colonial!

How about you guys? Any good finds this weekend? Did you go antiquing or thrifting? Let us know!

Love the wall hanging in the first pic. My big find while thrifting this weekend was a 1962 Keane framed big eye print for $2.00! My very first Keane for my big eye collection. 🙂

Ill take the awesome china cabinet in the first pic please! And Allen and I are definitely guilty of getting our little girl clothes WAY before she’ll fit into them. Go for it I say! They’ll fit eventually. 🙂

The vintage shop keeps putting up stuff on Facebook that either they have or they’ve seen on Craigslist. I wish I had a house for all the great furniture I’ve seen!

I wonder how comfortable those green sofas are. I bet the print on them is fabulous. And the wire shelves in the same picture, so cool.
