Won’t You Be My Neighbor – Remarkable Ranch in Winchester, VA

By Eartha Kitsch

This week’s home is a sweet little dream of a house built in in the sixties. It still has all of the original features, including tile baths and a stellar basement with bar. Just like last week’s home, it has some great storage areas in the kitchen too! Thanks to Susan for sending this one in!

This home is at 157 Lambden Avenue in Winchester, Virginia. It has four bedrooms and three baths and 2,655 square feet. It was built in 1962 and is listed for $309,000 with ERA OakCrest Realty. From the listing:

4 bedrooms, 3 baths! Many other upgrades include 3 wood burning fireplaces, large kitchen and gleaming hardwood floors. Full basement with family room and tons of storage. Extra large 3 car garage. Covered back patio and front porch for enjoying the outdoors. Close to Handley, shopping and the Historic District.

It looks like it is currently under contract but I still wanted to share it with you all because I know that you love seeing these time capsule homes as much as I do.  Let’s take a look inside:

What a nice, well-kept home! I love SO much about this one. What do you enjoy about this ranch home, readers?

I’ve always had a special place in my heart for ranches. This is just perfect… or as they say, “swell”! I particularly like the outdoor fire pit, bar-b-que with bullet light.

I love the unpretentious nature of this home–very livable, well-kept, functional, uncluttered and “real”. A perfect home in which to age gracefully!

Love it! The mural on the dining room wall reminds me of the one in Darrin and Samantha’s dining room on Bewitched 🙂

Oh, my the living room with the huge front window..love! Those front picture windows are pretty rare out here and I miss them – had one growing up in the Midwest. And, love the red brick fireplaces. A terrific house as is.
