Won’t You Be My Neighbor – Sweeping Ranch in Memphis, TN

By Eartha Kitsch

We’re back to Memphis this week and right back to Bonnie Drive, the street that gave us the mysterious “Woodsy Rancher” home. This week’s home is a real Southern charmer and just like the last home, is close to good ole Graceland – only 1.5 miles away.  I was immediately drawn to this home because of it’s exterior architectural features and was impressed further when I saw that the inside is still chock full of it’s original charm.

This home is located at 1598 Bonnie Drive and is priced at $105,000. It is listed by Crye-Leike Realtors and is currently pending.  From the listing:

“Well maintained home. Quiet street. Over 2100 SF, 3 Br, 2 bath, spacious living room, Den. Eat-in-kitchen. New refinished Hardwood floor. Soaring fireplace.  Beautiful backyard. Home is in good move-in condition. Carport and enclosed 1 car garage”

Let’s take a look at the home!

The outside sitting areas are so pretty, aren’t they? And how about that yellow kitchen and the built-in shelving and fireplace? What do you think about this home, readers? Any features that you enjoy?

This area has so many beautiful old ranches. I enjoyed pulling up the street views on Google maps and taking a virtual walk around the neighborhood!

the bones of the house are good, but the decor is horrible. Just way too much stuff put into those rooms. And heavy stuff, none the less. This home cries for some better decorating. And, you’re right, the backyard and seating areas make me swoon. They are perfection. Price is sure cheap, too, when compared to California prices.
