Vintage eBay Sewing Roundup – Spring Dressing Edition

by Andrea

I don’t know about all of you, but I am soooooooooooo sick of winter!  So, I think it’s time to start thinking spring and spring dresses.  Here’s some great patterns I found on eBay, let’s take a look.

First up, this LOVELY VTG 1950s DRESS & JACKET Sewing Pattern

spring1

I really really like this dress.  Simple design, but the bust gathers, pockets and belt give it a lot of interest.  It would be just as wearable today as it was back then!

Next, we have this VTG 1960s SIMPLICITY PATTERN 6004- MISSES' DRESSES

spring2

Love this mod ’60s dress!  Practical and comfortable, but super cute, too!

Then, we have this Vintage Womens Dress Pattern

spring3

Love this dress – so pretty and feminine, and totally screams out “SPRING!”  Also very neat that this pattern was featured in Mademoiselle magazine!

Here, we have this Vintage 1960s Women's UNCUT Trapeze Dress Pattern

spring4

Unfortunately, trapeze dresses don’t suit my figure, but if you have the figure that can pull one off, one of these done up in a pretty floral would be gorgeous and super spring-y!

Finally, we have this Amazing VTG 60s Advance 2958 Misses Dress with 2 Skirts PATTERN

spring5

This is a great basic pattern – not just for spring.  Love that it has the two skirt options.  With the right fabric choice, this could make a fantastic spring, dress.

Have a great weekend, everybody!

I so love that Mademoiselle pattern…esp. that dress with the lady in the hat!

The hat totally makes it, eh? Love the whole look, so ladylike!

I love them all. Even though I do not have the body type for the trapeze dress either, I think it would make a beautiful maternity dress for any springtime or summer gathering. Dress it up or down with accessories 🙂

Good thinking, Sherree! That could definitely be a lovely and versatile maternity dress!

Glad to run across this post. I love seeing the mid-century items….especially since I lived in their time as a younger person. I think my mom, sister and I used the mod-60’s pattern!!
