Quick Antiquing Trip At The Antique Warehouse in Saginaw

By RetroRuth

I recently stopped in at The Antique Warehouse in Saginaw for a 20 minute in-and-out trip.  So if some of these pictures look a little blurry, it’s because I was taking them as I was fast-walking through booths!

This little “nutcracker” struck me as hilarious. What a cute cookie jar!

While this doggie was a little creepy (I think I would repaint the eyes if this was mine), I really loved that bull planter.

This terrible picture is of some really cute kitsch art!

A very cool lamp. I was considering it for the office but 1) we have too many lamps and 2) it was a bit beat up for the price.

Who can resist a matching pair of black and gold roosters? I wish I had room for these!

And, last of all, this FREAKING AMAZING PURSE! Holy cats. I must have stared at this thing for 10 of my 20 minutes there.

What about you guys? Anyone find anything good this weekend?

It wasn’t this weekend, but a couple of weekends ago. Goodwill had their 1/2 off Saturday sale on housewares, and it was really busy in there. There was a stack of about 8 bowls, and stuck in the middle of the stack with just a little bit peeking out was a PINK Cathrineholm lotus bowl. Like it was just waiting there for me to walk by and see it. I have never seen one of these before in a thrift store, much less a pink one. It is in beautiful shape, no chips or scratches, just some utensil marks on the inside. It cost me a whole $2.25. I felt a little guilty, like I was ripping off the Goodwill or something. But I am so happy to finally have one!!

I haven’t found anything good in a looong time, but a few years ago I found at the GW a similar type purse. It is silvertone weaved with pastel strips of vinyl or leather with a marbled lucite lid. It’s a bit rusted on the metal parts & dented a bit on the side but still cute to display esp. for Easter.
