Won’t You Be My Neighbor – Lakeside Dream Home in Fox Point, WI

By Eartha Kitsch

This week’s home is fab-u-lous. It’s one of those where I wish that I could just buy the house, including all of the furniture and just move on in!

This home is located at 6970 N. Bartlett Lane in Fox Point, Wisconsin. It’s listed at $749,900 and is 2,982 square feet with 5 bedrooms and 3 baths. The house was built in 1951 and is being offered by ShoreWest Realtors.

From the listing:

Mid Century Modern designed by Willis & Lillian Leenhouts and built for this owner in 1951!! Wonderful Lake Michigan views from great room, dining room and master bedroom. Built for a growing family, the home has five bedrooms and three full baths.

Let’s take a look! (Oh, and please look forward to viewing my dream kitchen and laundry room.)

Laundry Room

 Two of the Bedrooms

Two of the Bathrooms

Exterior and Yard

Beautiful views on the outside AND on the inside. Time capsule perfection! What you do you like about this home, readers?

Thanks so much to Crystal for sending this home in to be shared! I know that it has inspired me to keep some of these photos in my “dream house” file. If you’d like to view this home or learn more about it, be sure and contact Mike and Mo Quinlevan with ShoreWest Realtors! And please, if you buy this house, I’d LOVE to come over and cook in that kitchen. Or fold your towels in that cute laundry room. Just say the word!

Oh man! Wish I had a few extra kidneys to sell. I would so be buying this house! It’s my favorite MCM ever. Whoever the lucky new owners are, I hope they can negotiate to keep the furniture. It’s perfection through and through. Thank you so much for sharing the photos!

I love that house. BUT, we have lived in Minneapolis and I know how cold it gets up there (can anyone say minus 50 degree wind chills?). When I showed it to my husband he shivered when he saw it sits on LAKE MICHIGAN. I’ll take Phoenix any day!

To each his own, I guess! I’d take this house* — and the cold winters — over Phoenix’s water problems and summer heat, any day!

      *if I could afford it… !
