May 14, 2014Individuality! Better Homes and Gardens July 1962
Today’s home decor trends often seem to be about everything looking the same, which isn’t my personal cup of tea. So, I really liked this spread from the July 1962 edition of Better Homes and Gardens about encouraging individuality in your decorating. Let’s have a look. (Click on any of the pictures for a larger view)
I am totally digging the gorgeous blue in combo with all the wood in the picture on the right.
The green and white sunroom on the white here is total perfection. Love!
I absolutely love the basement bar on the top right. It is so colourful and bright with the white that you would almost never know it was a basement. The secluded patio setup below it is also totally serene and lovely.
So many awesome things on this page! The blue porch is so totally inviting. I am totally loving the fantastic bright colours painted on the carport – works very well with the wood and spruces it right up. And Oh My Goodness – this yellow metal kitchen island might be my dream kitchen addition! So fantastic!
If I was any good at all with houseplants, I would totally consider doing something like this indoor garden. Great for all of you who have those awesome planters built into your houses! However, I must admit, I am questioning their made up word “Bizazzz” here. Busy pizzazz? Why three z’s at the end? This might remain a mystery!
