Vintage Sewing Shopping Roundup – Swimwear Edition

by Andrea

With summer being just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking swimwear.  There are a lot of great retro-styled swimsuits in the stores these days, however, if you’re hard to fit like me, it can be better just to make your own.  Here’s some great vintage swimwear patterns from Etsy to give you some retro ideas for the beach or pool!

Oh my goodness, isn’t this swimsuit absolutely gorgeous!  So elegant, you’d look equally as good lounging on the beach as in the water.

60′s Swimsuit Pattern Bikini and Mini Skirt

Not only does this look like a very practical and comfortable two piece, I totally love the wraparound skirt.

Not only is this bikini great, I love the wrap and pants cover up options!

1940s Swimsuit Bathing Suit Beach Coat or Robe

Not sure how practical this would be for going in the water, but it would be super cute for lounging on the beach!

Don’t want to forget about the little girls!  I love the halter neck suit on this one and the cover up is completely adorable!

1930s Bathing Suit Vintage Sewing Pattern Cape Beach Ensemble

This is another one that is probably better suited for lounging on the beach, but it is so elegant!  I love the cape and the full skirted coverup!

Have a great weekend, everybody!
